At the ceremony in Cardiff, Daisy was honoured with the GOLD Award for ‘Dignity in Care’ and the BRONZE Award for ‘Outstanding Service in Care,’ celebrating her exceptional contributions to the healthcare sector.
Daisy’s career is a testament to her unwavering dedication, with over six decades of service that has touched and transformed countless lives. Starting her nursing journey in 1958, Daisy has held key roles across hospitals, nursing homes, and community care settings. Her leadership and expertise have consistently raised the bar in quality care, ensuring that compassion and dignity remain at the heart of her work.
Even at 83, soon to be 84, Daisy continues to demonstrate remarkable energy and commitment. Since rejoining the team at Fairways Newydd in 2021, she has provided invaluable guidance to her colleagues and established a strong bond with the residents under her care. Her calm presence, expertise, and tireless work ethic have been instrumental in maintaining the high standards of care that our home is known for. Her achievements inspire us all and reaffirm our commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our residents.
