This December, Fairways Group is delighted to celebrate the festive season through our Carol-Themed Christmas initiative, with each week inspired by a classic Christmas carol. These themed celebrations encourage creativity, music, memory-making, and meaningful moments across our homes.

WEEK 1
Week 1 focused on preparing our homes for Christmas, embracing festive traditions, creativity, and togetherness.
Eryl Fryn
Residents at Eryl Fryn have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit by creating handmade Christmas cards for their families. The cards are also being prepared to send to CIW’s Christmas Card Competition, and also decked out with Christmas decor.

WEEK 2
Week 2 of our Carol-Themed Christmas was inspired by the uplifting carol “Joy to the World”, focusing on spreading happiness, creativity, and festive cheer across our homes.
Ceris Newydd and Glyn Menai
The festive season has been full of joy and togetherness at Glyn Menai and Ceris Newydd.
Residents were delighted to attend a Carol Service with a local choir, filling the homes with the beautiful sounds of traditional Christmas carols and festive harmony.
At Ceris Newydd, the Christmas party was in full swing, complete with crackers, party hats, mince pies, and plenty of laughter.
Week 2 of our Carol-Themed Christmas, inspired by the uplifting carol “Joy to the World,” has been full of colour, creativity, and festive smiles at Eryl Fryn.
Residents enjoyed a fun and creative activity, making Christmas bonnets to wear on Christmas Day, a festive twist to the much-loved tradition. Also, with the team, residents enjoyed Christmas Jumper Day and raised funds for Save the Children charity.

WEEK 3
Week 3 brought a sense of calm, reflection, and musical connection across our homes, inspired by the timeless carol “Silent Night.” This week focused on the power of music to evoke memories, comfort, and togetherness during the festive season.
Ceris Newydd & Glyn Menai
Residents enjoyed a beautiful and reflective Carol Service, joined by a wonderful local choir. The sound of traditional carols created a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere, encouraging residents to sing along and reminisce about Christmases past.

WEEK 4
Week 4 marked the grand finale of our Carol-Themed Christmas celebrations, focusing on family, giving, and festive togetherness as Christmas Day arrived across our homes.
Fairways Newydd
Christmas Day at Fairways Newydd was truly magical, with a special visit from Father Christmas, who delivered gifts to all residents. The most heart-warming moments came from seeing residents spend quality time with their loved ones, sharing smiles, stories, and festive cheer.
Merton Place
The Christmas party at Merton Place was the highlight of the week. Residents and staff sang, danced, and celebrated together, making the most of every festive moment and ending the season on a high note.

At Eryl Fryn, residents and staff shared a joyful Christmas Day filled with kindness and togetherness. The home also hosted a festive Christmas Fayre, where residents enjoyed browsing treats and soaking in the holiday atmosphere. Festivities concluded with a lively Christmas singalong, filling the home with music, laughter, and festive spirit.
